Almost all of us have learned French, Spanish or any other foreign
language in our primary or secondary education. But, if you check
whether these students can really speak the language, then you will
find that most of them can’t. Most of these students visit that country
where the language is spoken and unfortunately, they face the harsh
reality of not being able to communicate in that language on a
day-to-day basis, even after having studied it extensively. It actually

Many of us live in societies that encourage us to believe that the
planet’s resources are there to serve ‘limitless’ wants and
manufactured needs. Scientist Richard Eckersley explains that we have
created these by turning the seven deadly sins, greed, lust, laziness
and so on, into the seven marketing imperatives. Despite this, many of
us also realise that the planet’s resources are finite and strained and
that we have to change our values if we want our civilisation to
continue. Become a wise global citizen and move away from a
‘what’s in it for me’ culture to a ‘we’re in this together’ culture
based on partnership not domination. This challenges perspectives and
values.

appropriate education. While some game designers have gained stable
employment by simply showing their portfolio, this situation is
becoming increasingly rare. Nowadays employers want to see where and
what you have studied and where you received your degree. Of course,
they will also want to see your portfolio which means working on games
in your spare time or as study projects is the best way to present
yourself to an employer once you've received the proper education.
